Wedding Pictures Part 1

We are home from our trip to Virginia for my sister's wedding and we had a fantastic time! We didn't take as many pictures as I would have hoped but we were having too much fun to stop and take pictures!

We left our house on Thursday morning at 4:15 in hopes that the girls would both sleep in the car for the first bit of the 7 hour drive. Thankfully, we had a very quiet ride for the first 3 hours! Including our 3 stops, it took us only 8 1/2 hours to get down there. Both girls were amazing during the drive! Audrey slept for most of the time and Ellie kept herself entertained.

Ellie is all smiles at 4:15 am as we hit the road

We borrowed our friend's portable DVD player - what a fantastic invention!

Aunt TT sent Ellie a travel package before we left, complete with toys and snacks. This doodle pad was one of her favorites!

"How long have I been in this car seat?!?!"

Even the mommies tried to sneak in a few zzzz's on the way down!

Once in VA, we settled in at the hotel where we had adjoining rooms with Mimi and Boppa. This was fantastic and Ellie loved going back and forth between the rooms. My parents really helped Lori and I manage the girls in a new environment with lots to do. We spent the days before the wedding hanging out with everyone around the hotel or in Roanoke. We were in the same hotel as lots of family and friends: my aunt, her husband, and her son; my brother; several friends of the family; and friends of my sister.

They had a heated indoor pool at the hotel and Ellie and Boppa made the most of it

Thursday night we enjoyed a nice dinner out with family that had arrived early. Ellie insisted on sitting next to Aunt TT, as she did for the rest of the trip!

Tesia and Ty took us all out to breakfast on Friday morning to one of their favorite coffee places. You'll see we did a lot of eating on this trip!

Ellie loved the hotel room and really loved the fact that our family slept in the same room!

sneaking in extra food for later!

Audrey slept through practically everything on this trip, including the wedding itself!

We found these cool chairs on a walk through downtown Roanoke.

Tesia and Ty made the time to take Ellie to this very cool park near their home. They had play houses that Ellie loved!
